Richter Library (University of Montpellier)Spaces
The Richter Library offers a diverse range of workspaces and atmospheres (see “Choosing Your Workspace”). It provides approximately 1,300 seats spread across six floors, designed to accommodate a variety of needs, from collaborative work to individual study.
Areas accessible without a reservation
- Group workspace: open to everyone, no reservation required.
- Zen Area: 50 seats with comfortable seating.
Individual and Dedicated Spaces
- 38 individual study booths for quiet work.
- 2 rooms reserved for doctoral students in law, political science, economics, and management.
Spaces that can be reserved through the Affluences app
- 13 spaces of various sizes, bookable online.
Rooms for Specific Uses
Four rooms are designed for specific purposes and can be reserved via this link:
- The Workshop (groups of up to 15 people)
- The Faculty and Researchers Room.
- 2 training rooms.
The Esther Duflo Room (Level 3hA) is reserved for people with disabilities; reservations must be made through the Affluences app.
The University’s Joint Service for Information, Career Guidance, and Professional Integration (SCUIO-IP) offers the opportunity to meet with a counselor at the Richter Library every Thursday:
- by appointment, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.;
- No appointment necessary, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. (lobby, ground floor);
- By registration, during the themed workshops held twice a month.
