DUMAS: Making the Most of Your Students' Memories
Updated July 25, 2026Theses and dissertations produced as part of master’s programs or university certificates are original academic works that are valuable to the academic community. DUMAS, an open archive dedicated to theses and dissertations after their defense, facilitates their preservation and ensures their long-term visibility.
Why use DUMAS?
Integrating student projects into DUMAS offers four benefits for both students and faculty:
Raise awareness
Showcase the program, research topics, and student achievements on a platform that ranks highly in search engine results.
Long-Term Archiving
Ensure the long-term preservation of student work.
Forward
Make student projects more accessible to future classes.
Preventing Plagiarism
Making documents available online makes them easier for anti-plagiarism tools to detect.
