Documentary Tutors
The SCD's Information Literacy Training Department is hiring information literacy tutors.
Being a tutor at a university library means:
- Welcome and assist undergraduate students to introduce them to the university libraries and their services, and guide them in their research.
- Help design and facilitate training sessions (in-person workshops, tutorials, and distance learning) on information resources, in conjunction with discipline-specific courses.
- Develop expertise in the digital tools provided by the academic units and help promote their use among students.
Above all, it’s about enjoying sharing your experience and skills, and developing your interpersonal and teaching skills.
There are two types of job openings that might interest you: student jobs at the university library and library tutors.
Job openings for fixed-term contracts and student positions at the University Library are posted on the UM website.
